Character Turnaround Views in One Character Model Sheet

A character sheet shows one character from several sides, so every new AI image or video shot starts from the same design. Start from a character model sheet template, or write your own prompt.

A Reference for Consistent AI Images and Video

When an AI video cuts or the camera moves, the model has to guess the side profile and the back of the hair. Give it the whole sheet, or one view cropped from it, as the reference image for a 10-20 second shot. For longer stories, make one sheet per version of the character, such as a new outfit, haircut or age.

Same Face, Same Outfit, Same Details in Every View

A character ref sheet is only useful if every view is clearly the same character. The templates tell the model to keep the face, hair, body shape, outfit and colors, and to carry over distinctive details such as glasses, jewelry, props, tattoos, scars and moles without adding new ones. If a detail goes missing, name it in the prompt and generate again.

Start from One Image of Your Character

You do not need a set of angles. Upload one picture of your own character: a photo, an OC drawing, a sketch or AI art. The AI character sheet generator draws the side and back views that the picture does not show. A clear full-body image gives the most accurate outfit and proportions; with a head-only picture the AI has to design the rest of the body.

Front, 3/4, Side and Back in One Character Turnaround Sheet

The templates cover the common layouts: four full-body views in a row or a grid, a classic turnaround with face close-ups, a casting board for photoreal characters, game and fantasy concept sheets, and a nine-view sheet. These reference templates use a plain background, a neutral pose and no text on the sheet. Edit the prompt to change the layout.

Why Use an AI Character Sheet Generator?

Getting a clean multi-angle sheet out of a general image model often takes several prompts or a node workflow. This page gives you ready-made sheet templates and runs them in one click.

No Workflow to Build

No ComfyUI nodes, LoRAs or local GPU. Everything runs in your browser, so it works on any laptop or phone.

One Step, Not Five Prompts

Start from a tested template instead of writing and rewriting a long prompt to get front, side and back views.

Clean, Readable Layout

Plain background, neutral pose and large panels: the layout that AI tools and artists read most easily.

Ready for AI Video Tools

Give your AI video tool the whole sheet, or one cropped view, as the reference image so every shot starts from the same character.

Start from Any Character Image

A photo, an OC drawing, a sketch or AI art all work. No image yet? Make one first with our text to image AI generator, then upload it here.

Any Art Style

Realistic, anime, semi-realistic, chibi, cartoon or 3D: name the style and the whole sheet follows it.

How It Works

How to Make an AI Character Reference Sheet

Four steps from one image to a downloadable character turnaround sheet.

1

1. Upload Your Character

Upload one clear picture of the character you want a reference for: a photo, OC drawing or AI art. A full-body picture gives the most accurate outfit and proportions. No picture yet? Create one with the ChatGPT Image 2 Generator first.

2

2. Pick a Template Below

Scroll to the templates under the tool and click Use This Template on the layout you want. Its prompt fills in the prompt box.

3

3. Change the Words in Brackets (Optional)

The layout stays fixed; the words in [brackets] are yours to change, such as the style, pose, expression or background. Add anything that must stay, such as a scar, glasses or a held prop. The default 3:2 landscape size fits most sheets; choose 2K or 4K output if you plan to crop single views.

4

4. Generate, Check and Download

Click Generate Sheet, check that every view matches your character, and download it as PNG, JPG or WebP. Need a bigger file for cropping views? Run it through the AI image upscaler.

FAQ

AI Character Sheet Generator FAQ

Common questions about making a character reference sheet with AI.

A character reference sheet is one image that shows a single character from several angles, usually front, side and back, on a plain background. It is also called a character turnaround, character model sheet or character ref sheet. Artists use it to draw the same design again, and AI creators use it as a reference image so new scenes keep the same character. This character reference sheet generator makes one from a single image of your character.

Quick character sheets that keep one character consistent across 10-20 second AI video shots. Each prompt makes one sheet that shows how the character looks from several angles. A full character profile with personality, expressions, signature poses and life stages, a brand mascot sheet, or a precise multi-view sheet for 3D modeling, is better handled in a dedicated design workflow.

Yes. That is the most common use. Give your AI video or image tool the whole sheet, or the one view that matches your shot, as the reference image so it does not have to guess the side profile or the back of the hair. For a longer story, make a separate sheet for each version of the character, such as a new outfit, haircut or age.

Upload one image of your character, pick a template or write your own prompt, then click Generate Sheet. The AI character sheet generator draws the views on a clean background in about a minute, and you can download the result.

This tool needs one image of your character. If you only have an idea, create a full-body picture first with our AI character image generator: describe the body type, face, hair, eyes, outfit, colors and art style on a plain background. Then upload that picture here and pick a template.

One clear image of your own character where the face, hair and outfit are visible: a photo, an OC drawing, a sketch or AI art. Full-body images give the most accurate outfit and proportions. A head-and-shoulders portrait also works; the AI designs the body and outfit you do not show, so describe them in the prompt if they matter. Please upload only characters you created or have permission to use.

Either works. The templates are a quick start: clean reference layouts for AI video, such as turnarounds, grids, a casting board, concept sheets and a nine-view sheet. Each one is a prompt you can edit. Words in square brackets, such as the style, pose, expression and background, are there to change: for a drawn character, replace [photorealistic, like the photo] with your art style, for example [anime, like the drawing]. The prompt decides the layout and the style, for example "front, side and back views plus a face close-up, plain white background". List details that must not change, such as "keep the round glasses, the scar on the left cheek and the red scarf".

Yes. Edit the words in square brackets, such as [relaxed A-pose] or [calm neutral expression]. Each sheet shows one pose, outfit and expression so every view is easy to compare; the Nine-View Sheet adds one action pose. For AI video, make one sheet per outfit and give your tool the sheet with the outfit of that scene, because a sheet that mixes outfits can make video tools blend them.

Yes. Ask for them in the prompt, for example "add a row of close-ups of the necklace, the sword hilt and the boots below the views". Keep it to three or four close-ups so each one stays large enough to read, and choose 2K or 4K output for small details.

The templates tell the model to keep the same face, hair, outfit, colors and distinctive marks, and not to add marks that are not in your image. Like any AI image, a view can still drift. Check the result, name the missing detail in the prompt, and generate again.

Generate again first, since each result is different. If the problem repeats, make the prompt more specific: name each view ("front view, strict 90-degree side profile, back view"), add "all views at the same scale and height" and "arms relaxed at the sides", which also reduces extra hands and fingers. Fewer views per sheet give each view more pixels, and a higher quality or 2K setting helps with hands and faces.

The default is a 3:2 landscape image, which fits four full-body views side by side. You can also pick 16:9, 2:1, 4:3 or 1:1, and choose 1K, 2K or 4K resolution. Pick 2K or 4K if you plan to crop single views to use as separate references.

New visitors can try it for free. After that, each sheet uses credits; the cost depends on the model, resolution and quality you choose and is shown on the Generate button. Free downloads include a watermark; watermark-free downloads come with purchased credits or a subscription. Sheets you generate from your own characters can be used for personal and commercial projects such as AI videos and social content.
